Sunnyvale, California, United States
Movement Sunnyvale is a large roped and bouldering gym on Stewart Drive in north Sunnyvale, next to Lowe's. It traded for years as Planet Granite Sunnyvale; Planet Granite's gyms are now part of Movement, and a membership here covers every Movement gym in the US.
There are about 28,000 sq ft of climbing walls with more than 280 routes and problems: some 159 roped routes for top-rope and lead climbing on walls up to 55 feet, and around 124 boulder problems in two bouldering areas; the gym also has an outdoor bouldering area. Hand-carved crack lines let climbers practise jamming before heading out to granite or desert cracks. Training kit includes two MoonBoards, hydraulic system boards and campus boards. Climbers lead after passing a Lead Check, which can be booked ahead, and belayers must be at least 13.
