Zagreb's bouldering options
The Zagreb climbing guide compares venues across the city. The Hive is at Slavonska avenija 16, with bouldering, a MoonBoard, spray wall and fitness facilities. Boulder Zona occupies the upper level of Shopping Centre Prečko in the west, with a competition wall, MoonBoard and Kilter Board.
Fothia Velesajam is on the gallery level of Zagreb Fair's Pavilion 25. Do not confuse it with Fothia's separate Podsljeme programme at the Sljeme cable-car station. The latter advertises arranged children's sessions, and its Google listing was marked temporarily closed when checked in October 2026. Confirm that venue's availability rather than transferring Velesajam's opening hours or ticket prices.
Split, Kaštela and Zadar
Marulianus at Poljud offers both bouldering and an 11-metre lead wall, plus training boards. The centre recommends checking its timetable because events at the stadium can affect access. Nearby TNT in Kaštel Sućurac adds a bouldering option outside Split itself.
SPK Lapis explicitly requires club membership before climbing. Contact it about joining and the right session instead of assuming an ordinary public drop-in ticket. Further up the coast, SPK Paklenica's Zadar venue is a bouldering hall on Splitska ulica, not the national park or an outdoor crag with a similar name. It publishes evening opening from Monday to Thursday and has announced the Sv. Krševan Boulder Open for 21 November 2026.
Istria and the Kvarner area
The federation lists OnSight in Pula at the Rojc community centre and Hiperaktiv in Pazin as bouldering venues. Their club setting makes checking the actual session important. Near Opatija, BoldeRi in Matulji publishes daily evening opening, independent climbing and beginner and children's programmes.
For roped climbing in Rijeka, Kantrida’s shared 12-metre wall is inside Athletic Hall Luciano Sušanj at Istarska 1. Arrange climbing access through the hall or a local club: the athletic facility’s general hours are not climbing-session times. Further federation-listed halls in Rovinj and Roč remain useful enquiries, but exact current visitor details need confirmation.
Northern and eastern Croatia
SPK Direkt's Lepoglava hall and Vertikal in Varaždin provide northern bouldering options. In Osijek, Momentum Boulder combines bouldering, yoga and functional training; it is not a Zagreb branch or automatically part of another similarly named business. SPK Bastion is a separate club hall at Gradski vrt with bouldering and lead climbing, plus adult and children’s training by arrangement.
For Karlovac, use Bombina's Luščić hall as a current climbing lead. PD Dubovac announced dismantling its former Rakovac wall in July 2025 and donating its materials to Bombina. Its 2026 school programme now names Bombina for climbing practice, so the old Dubovac listing is not a separate open wall.
Prices and planning
Published standard adult day tickets checked in October 2026 are €12 at the Hive, Boulder Zona and Fothia Velesajam, €11 at BoldeRi, €10 at TNT and €2 at Lepoglava. TNT’s September tariff also lists €50 standard monthly membership; its separate €20 annual card buys discounts rather than unlimited climbing. These examples span different facilities and access arrangements; they are not a guarantee of the same service. Check shoe hire, instruction, concessions and any membership requirement separately, and use the named venue's latest timetable before setting off.
