Chicago, Illinois, United States
Movement Lincoln Park opened in November 2021 on North Dayton Street, the second of Movement's two Chicago gyms after Wrigleyville. The building holds more than 43,000 sq ft of climbing and fitness space, and a membership here also covers every other Movement gym in the US.
This is Movement's roped gym in Chicago, with more than 200 routes on walls up to 56 ft high. Top ropes use GriGri assisted-braking belay devices, lead routes run up the same walls, and instructors open the speed wall for regular speed clinics. A separate bouldering floor has a top-out boulder, and the training area has a Kilter Board, hydraulic system boards and campus boards.
Newcomers can start with Intro to Rope Climbing or Intro to Bouldering, or book an instructor-belayed climb. Beyond that come technique and Learn to Lead courses, lead falling clinics, outdoor sport, crack and self-rescue classes and the Peak Performance adult team.

“Good gym overall. Only downside is that this gym doesn’t do a good job is their hospitality on their towels. … their washer machine has been out of service and leaves the members empty handed.”
“This gym is huge (compared to nyc!) Love how much space there's for everything. It seems the strong area are the rope/lead. One floor for bouldering.”
