Boulder, Colorado, United States
Movement Boulder, on Valmont Road about two miles from the Pearl Street Mall, was built in 2009 and was Movement's first gym in Colorado, from the days when the company traded as Movement Climbing + Fitness. A membership here covers every Movement gym in the country.
The 22,000 sq ft building holds about 18,400 sq ft of climbing, with roped walls of 30 to 40 feet served by 66 independent anchors, and Movement lists around 104 routes and 87 boulder problems. The roped terrain includes the Grey Wall, which the gym calls nationally renowned, and there are climbing-specific training areas with hydraulic system boards and campus boards. Climbers pass a belay check before they top rope, and a lead check before they lead.
The gym has its own car park, with limited street parking nearby. It is ADA accessible, with lifts, accessible toilets and accessible climbing areas.
