The Gravity Vault's Hudson County gym fills a 25,000 sq ft building on Clinton Street. Its tall, window-lit hall has 100 rope stations up to 40 feet with more than 200 routes, a dedicated lead arch, a stem chimney, hand, finger and fist cracks, a rappel wall, 10 auto belays and a 10-metre speed wall with a timer.
Bouldering covers more than 120 problems, including walls you can top out and a mezzanine area. For training there's an 8ft LED MoonBoard, a Tension Board 2 in its 12x12 spray layout (new in September 2026), hangboards and campus rungs, and a cross-training space with a squat rig, barbells, dumbbells, treadmills and rowers. Locker rooms with showers, a retail shop, a lounge and workspace with wifi, and two multi-purpose rooms for parties, meetings and yoga complete the building.
Experienced climbers can buy a day pass, start bouldering and take a belay check to use the ropes and auto belays. Newcomers can book a one-hour staff belay or a bouldering lesson, or turn up for walk-in climbing: two top-rope climbs with an instructor. Belay, lead, technique and route-setting classes follow, and the gym runs Climbing Wall Instructor courses too. Parking is on the street or in a ParkMobile lot on 15th Street.
Yoga runs most days and is free for members. Kids' classes, camps, scout programmes and youth teams fill the week, and the gym hosts a women's meetup, Transcend meetups for trans, intersex and non-binary climbers, a BIPOC social with the Hudson Pride Center, and USA Climbing youth competitions.
