Fredrikstad
Fredrikstad Buldresenter, on Pancoveien at Gressvik, opened in autumn 2025 with 668 m² of Walltopia bouldering walls for all levels, a children's section, a small training room and a café with a climbing shop and workspace. In February 2026 it hosted the senior Norwegian bouldering championships, where 81 climbers competed and Sunniva E. Haave and Leo Chiba took the titles. The club's older centre, Fredrikstad Klatresenter on Tomteveien, opened in 2007 as RedPoint and is the place for roped climbing: two floors of rope walls, a room with nine auto-belays, two bouldering rooms and a children's room. Both centres share one price list.
Sarpsborg
Sarpsborg Klatresenter on Vestengveien opened in 2006 as Gekko Klatring Sarpsborg and has been run by Sarpsborg Klatreklubb since 2020. It has top-rope and lead climbing under a 10 m ceiling, bouldering in two rooms and a training room, and it's open to drop-in visitors on weekday evenings and at weekends. The club runs belay courses and a climbing school for children.
Moss
Høyt Under Taket Moss, at Høyda, has top-rope and lead walls, 30 auto-belays, a large bouldering area, indoor via ferrata trails, a Kilter Board, a strength area and a café. From 16 November 2026 its entry and memberships become part of Skimore, the activity-park membership. On Jeløy, Moss Klatresenter is a 220 m² bouldering room that's open from 06:00 to midnight every day: it's staffed on Monday to Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons, and at other times you book entry through MATCHi. It also runs a social competition series, the Buldrekarusellen.
Halden
Halden Klatreklubb has a roped wall with 24 routes, graded 4 to 8-, in the gym hall at Porsnes upper secondary school. Newcomers can try it at the club's Wednesday evening session; the Monday and Friday sessions are for certified climbers.
Prices and the Brattkort
In October 2026 an adult day ticket cost NOK 130 at Moss Klatresenter, NOK 150 at both Fredrikstad centres, NOK 160 in Sarpsborg and NOK 170 at Høyt Under Taket Moss. Fredrikstad's rolling monthly card was NOK 650, with club membership at NOK 300 a year, and Sarpsborg's NOK 670. Bouldering needs no certificate, but to belay on a rope you need a Brattkort, Norway's belay certificate. Fredrikstad's top-rope course cost NOK 790, with the test two weeks later; Sarpsborg's course cost NOK 750 including the test; and Høyt Under Taket Moss charged NOK 879 for its top-rope and lead courses.
Bouldering outdoors
Foten, at Helleskilen on the coast south of Fredrikstad, is one of the most popular outdoor bouldering areas within reach of Oslo, with dozens of boulders by the sea. Access there is sensitive: park only where it's marked, for no more than 12 hours, and keep to the marked path between the cabins.
Competitions
Besides the 2026 national bouldering championships, Fredrikstad Buldresenter hosted a round of the Østlandscup, eastern Norway's regional competition series, in May 2026, and Moss Klatresenter's Buldrekarusellen holds rounds through the winter and spring.
