Urban Climb Milton is a bouldering gym on Roy Street in the inner Brisbane suburb of Milton, one of Urban Climb’s three Brisbane gyms with West End and Newstead. Its hall is set with colour circuits for every level, from yellow up to white, on walls and freestanding boulders such as the Island, and it is open to climbers of all ages: under-13s climb with a supervising adult who has done the supervision demo, one adult to two children.
A sensory-friendly morning on the first Monday of each month turns the music off and the lights down, and the gym has hosted Sport Climbing Queensland’s Open Boulder competition.
First-time visitors join a 30-minute safety demo, which runs every half-hour with no need to book, and in school terms Milton runs a Tuesday-afternoon youth programme class for 9 to 13 year olds.

“The Milton centre is a fair bit smaller than the West End one so not as much to go around or do. However, the setting is still very creative for the setting they have.”
“Extremely friendly staff, great gym with good bouldering walls and a good weight training gym downstairs. There could be more intermediate climbs but there is more than enough variety for everyone!”
