9 Degrees Parramatta is a bouldering-only gym in the Metro Centre on South Street, Rydalmere, in Sydney's west. It opened in May 2017 as the second gym of 9 Degrees, the Sydney bouldering brand founded in 2015 that now runs gyms across Sydney and Brisbane, and its custom walls were built by Blocz.
Problems run across nine colour-coded levels, the easiest about as hard as climbing a ladder, and the setters put up new climbs every Monday. The walls reach 4.5 metres, with down-climb holds at the top of each problem and deep crash mats below. The training area has a MoonBoard and space for weights and functional training, and there are board games and a chess board for resting between climbs.
The quietest times are early mornings, weekdays before 5pm and weekend evenings.
