About

Bouldering and roped climbing

Trapezia opened in September 2015 on the second floor of a building on pr. Partizanski, about five minutes' walk from Proletarskaya metro station. It covers 540 m², with around 470 m² of climbing surface and about 250 routes and problems for every level.

Most of the space is a bouldering hall over thick matting, with walls 4.5 to 6 metres high that overhang by up to 55 degrees. A separate corner has 6-metre walls for climbing on a rope, including a rock-textured wall and brightly painted walls, and there is a children's climbing zone. No belay certificate is needed, but an instructor checks the technique of anyone who belays. There is also a campus board for training.

Children can climb from the age of 5. Under-14s may use the bouldering hall only with an adult, and 14 to 16-year-olds need written consent from a parent.

Courses and events

  • A start pack for first-timers: gear, a safety briefing, five roped climbs with an instructor and unlimited bouldering
  • One-to-one coaching, adult group sessions and children's climbing groups

Visits must be booked in advance by phone or at reception. Shoes and chalk can be hired with any ticket.
