The Frunzensky Physical Culture and Health Centre (FOC) is the state sports centre for Minsk's Frunzensky district. Its climbing wall is in the Artemida sports club on ul. Burdeynogo, which also has a gym, tennis courts, judo, aerobics and Pilates. The wall is 8 metres high, painted with a sunset mural, and set with routes on several angled panels.
Climbing is taught in groups with an instructor, for children from age 8 and for adults. The centre's timetable has two kinds of session: general fitness with climbing elements, and climbing proper. Between them they run on Monday and Wednesday mornings, every weekday afternoon and Saturday afternoon, and until 19:50 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings. There are no sessions on Sundays. You can pay for a single session or buy a pass for four, six or eight; the price list covers climbing together with general fitness and athletic gymnastics.
The centre also runs free sports sections for children, climbing among them.
As we last found them. Prices change, so check the wall's website before you go.
