Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia
Newland Park Bouldering Wall is a free outdoor bouldering area in the Newland Park Skate and Play Precinct on Newland Street in Gillen, the $8.6 million park that Alice Springs Town Council opened in December 2025 with funding from the Australian and Northern Territory governments. Bouldering Australia built the climbing structures in 2025, next to the skate park and under the precinct's shade canopies.
The main block is one of Bouldering Australia's Goliath+ structures: an arch about 2.9 m high and 6.4 m long, with around 51 m² of climbing on angled grey and timber-look faces and an overhanging underside. One end is a campus end, fitted with rows of rungs for powerful, dynamic moves. Nearby, an Apostle Cluster of narrow faceted pillars, each about 3 m high, adds another 24 m² of climbing that suits newer climbers and easy repeats. The maker designs both for climbers of all abilities, on rubber softfall.
