Maniak Charleroi is the Maniak network's bouldering hall, in a building next to the Decathlon store in Dampremy, Charleroi, which opened in December 2019. It's the only hall in the Pays Noir given over entirely to bouldering, with 120 linear metres of wall and plenty of floor space, and it hosts Coal Me Beast, Maniak's yearly bouldering competition.
First-timers choose a supervised initiation, a short briefing or an e-learning course when they book. The Maniak Académie runs weekly classes and holiday courses for 6 to 16-year-olds, and children from 3 can climb with a parent. Climbing shoes and chalk bags are for hire.
There's a sauna, a physiotherapy room, showers and changing rooms, a bar with light meals and a terrace, and a climbing shop. The car park is shared with Decathlon, the Piges metro stop is a minute's walk away and Charleroi-Sud station is ten minutes by metro or bus.
