BLOC house opened on 4 October 2014 in a former animal-feed factory on Puchstraße in Graz and has grown several times since, most recently with a renovation in summer 2026 that brought new walls and mats. The hall has about 1,200 m² of floor space and walls 4 to 4.5 m high, built by City Wall. Apart from the course and training walls, every wall carries colour-marked problems, and the setters aim to reset two wall sections a week, so no problem should stay up much longer than two months. Topping out is only allowed on the walls marked for it.
For training there's a Kilter Board, a spray wall, a wooden wall and a training area with barbells, a half rack, incline benches, mirrors and yoga equipment. The bar area has snacks and sofas, and small children have a slide and a play corner. There are changing rooms and showers, shoes can be hired, and the hall sells chalk, clothing and gift vouchers. Everyone registers on a screen at the entrance on their first visit and gets a key card; from 14, climbers can register themselves and come alone. In summer (July to September) the hall usually closes from 13:00 to 16:00.
Courses cover beginners and improvers, yoga for climbers, individual coaching, taster sessions for children aged 5 to 10, courses for 6 to 11-year-olds and teenagers, club training for under-10s to under-16s, families, schools, clubs and companies, and the hall runs its own competition, the Housemeisterschaft. There's free parking for about 70 cars outside, and tram 5 stops at Puchstraße, about five minutes' walk away.

“Best Climbing gym in the city and probably also the best one where I had been so far.”
“This is a great bouldering and training venue. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be improving the indoor air quality. … there is often a lot of very fine chalk dust in the air.”
“Nice boulder gym with friendly staff. … Good selection of routes, climbing styles and difficulties. … Gets quite hot and sweaty in the summer, dress accordingly!”
