Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
Beyond Bouldering Kent Town is one of three Adelaide bouldering gyms run by Beyond Bouldering, a business started by a group of South Australian climbers. The gym is at 7 Grenfell Street in Kent Town, on the eastern edge of the city centre, and has been open since 2019. There's no need to book: first-time visitors sign a waiver and complete a short safety induction and demo climb before they start.
The bouldering is split into four sectors, and one of them is reset every week. The main lines go up on Wednesday and around five more problems are added on Thursday, so there's always something new to try. Problems are graded with coloured tags, from orange for beginners up to yellow for experts, and blue tags mark competition-style climbs.
Free Foundations classes for beginners and Technique classes for members run on Wednesday evenings, and the Beyond Youth Club coaches 8 to 17 year olds on Saturday mornings during school terms. Private coaching and personal training are booked by appointment. Memberships cover all three Beyond gyms, which also share The Circuit, a four-week boulder ladder competition.
Climbers must be at least 8 years old and 120cm tall, and dogs are welcome under the gym's dog policy.

“It's a nice bouldering gym with a modern style of climbing and great holds. The routes are well set and offer a good variety of techniques ,making the climbs both fun and challenging.”
“Great place to go for a fun time with friends and climb some wall. Or just have a coffee and chill. Also if you a bit more hard-core had moonboards for falling off (training).”
“Beyond bouldering, Kent town is like a second home. All the staff are wonderful and are very welcoming when coming to the gym.”
