The Climbing Lab is a 16,000 sq ft bouldering centre on Kirkstall Industrial Park, west of Leeds city centre. Walls reach 4.5m over matting and are graded by colour circuits.
The training area has a light-up MoonBoard, a colour-blind-friendly circuit board, a peg board, a campus board and fingerboards. The gym has a functional rig, free weights, a bike, rower, curved treadmills and a SkiErg, for over-18s and assessed teenagers.
There is a café serving coffee, pies, bakes and local beer, a shop, a free workspace, changing rooms with showers, lockers (bring a padlock), free parking and bike storage, and dogs are welcome. Weekly sessions include a Monday ladies' social, free Tuesday coaching and NICAS classes, and the centre runs the Lab Test comp, a Winter Series and a Halloween party.

“A great place for me, my 8 yo and 11 yo to go climbing together. They sever lovely refreshments, the staff are super nice and helpful, and it's very reasonably prices.”
“Went for my first ever climbing session and really enjoyed myself! Walls have decent grading and it's very easy to tell the difference through the colour system.”
“Really spacious so you don't feel like you're on top if each other. There's a separate kids room. Good variety of climbs. I wish you could lock the lockers - you need to bring your own padlock.”
