Rankweil, Vorarlberg, Austria
Steinblock Rankweil is a bouldering hall with 800 m² of climbing surface in the Gewerbepark business park on Alemannenstraße. It is one of the Steinblock halls, alongside Dornbirn and Imst, and its problems are set for everyone from first-timers to strong climbers. The training area has a MoonBoard and a Kilter Board, children have their own adventure area, and there's a cafe-bar for a break between sessions.
The hall is staffed from 14:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 at weekends, until 22:30 every day. With an online ticket, an 11-visit card, a time card or the apptive app you can also get in by automated entry from 06:00, although cleaning and route setting can limit what's open outside the staffed hours. In summer the staffed hours depend on the weather: on sunny days the bar only opens from 17:30, while rainy days keep the usual hours. Everyone climbing needs a valid ticket and climbing shoes, which can be hired along with chalk bags, and children under 12 must climb with an adult. 11-visit cards and 3-month, half-year and annual cards are valid at every Steinblock hall. Courses cover beginners and technique for adults, children aged 6 to 10 and young people aged 10 to 14, and the hall also hosts children's birthday parties and group visits.
