Nottingham Trent University's 10m climbing wall in the Students' Union building on City Campus, used by NTU Climbing and Mountaineering and NTU Sport's coached sessions, with routes from about 3+ to 7a.

About

NTU's City Campus wall

Nottingham Trent University's climbing wall is part of the City Sports Centre in the Students' Union building on Shakespeare Street, in the middle of City Campus. The sports centre also has a gym with over 100 stations over two floors, a sports hall, a dance studio and a sports therapy suite.

The climbing

  • Height: 10m.
  • Routes: from easier grades around 3+ for first-timers up to about 7a.

Who can climb

The wall is used mainly by NTU students. The NTU Climbing and Mountaineering club holds a social session there every week and an open session for signed-off members, with club membership covering the sessions and equipment. NTU Sport's coach also runs Play for Fun sessions at the wall, booked through the NTU Sport app, and the facilities come with NTU Sport memberships. Climbers sign the NTU climbing wall conditions of use before climbing.
