Coventry, England, United Kingdom
Naul's Mill Underpark turned a fenced-off storage area beneath a raised section of Coventry's ring road into a public space. It forms part of a linear green link for walkers and cyclists that runs from Naul's Mill Park under the ring road towards Belgrade Plaza in the city centre, and its plans included a climbing wall, an amphitheatre of timber steps, feature lighting and planting.
The climbing wall is a long concrete wall, angled in places and painted with bright patterns, with resin holds bolted on for low-level bouldering and traversing. It sits beside the path under the road deck, and there are no ropes.
No operator publishes opening times or rules for the wall, so treat it like any unsupervised public climbing spot and climb within your limits.
As we last found them. Prices change, so check the wall's website before you go.
