Narvik, Nordland, Norway
Kraft Sportssenter Narvik is the sports centre of Samskipnaden, the student welfare organisation, on UiT's campus at Lodve Langes gate 2 in Narvik. Besides strength, cardio and group training, it has a climbing hall and a bouldering room. Every membership includes climbing once you meet the climbing rules, and anyone can buy a drop-in.
Everyone signs a self-declaration before climbing. To belay or use the auto-belays you need a Brattkort, a top-rope card (Topptaukort) or an equivalent, which you must be able to show. Under-18s without a Brattkort need an adult with one present and must register at reception; children who can't climb may only use the bouldering room, supervised by an adult. Members with a Brattkort can bring children free during staffed hours. Climbing shoes, or clean trainers, are required.
Members and drop-in visitors, who get a door code by SMS, can come in every day from 05:00 to midnight. Reception is staffed Monday to Thursday 11:30–20:00, Friday 11:30–15:30 and Sunday 16:30–20:00.
As we last found them. Prices change, so check the wall's website before you go.
