Klimat Ottawa, also called Klimat 2.0, is the second gym from the team behind Klimat in Wakefield, Quebec. It opened in September 2025 on City Centre Avenue, just outside downtown Ottawa, in a 16,700 sq ft building that used to house an indoor skate and bike park, with a transit stop across the street.
The bouldering area covers about 4,200 sq ft, with walls up to 16 ft high, a wide range of modern holds and weekly resets by the routesetting team, who set with different reaches, strengths and body types in mind. A dedicated board area has a Tension Board 2 and a Kilter Board, and there's also a spray wall. Climbers can book one-to-one coaching with the gym's coaches.
The fitness centre has a cardio section, a heavy strength-training area and multi-function machines, with fitness classes and programmes on the schedule. The vegetarian café is open from 7:00 to 21:00 every day and serves coffee, smoothies, salads, protein bowls and snacks, sourcing produce from nearby organic farms.
The gym is open from 7:00 to 23:00 Monday to Saturday and from 7:00 to 22:00 on Sunday. Day passes and 10-entry punch cards are sold for adults, youth (9 to 13) and children, with cheaper fitness-only options, and memberships run from one to six months, including a recurring monthly plan. Waivers can be signed online in English or French before a first visit.

“This place has everything you need. Clean, free weights, multiple squat bars, bouldering walls, boards, free liquid chalk, and cafe.”
“While Klimat offers less climbing space than other competitors, the "zen" environment filled with thoughtful amenities quickly makes up for it.”
“Klimat is an excellent facility with well-set problems across every grade level… The extended hours (early opening and late closing) are fantastic. Those 7am morning sessions are the best.”
