Gullbringveggen

Gullbringveggen

Gullbringveggen is the roped climbing wall at Gullbring Kulturhus, Midt-Telemark's culture and sports centre at Gullbringvegen 34 in Bø, which also has sports halls, a swimming pool and a cinema. Klatregruppa i Bø, the local climbing club, uses it for rope climbing; the club's bouldering room is elsewhere in Bø, in the basement of Groven Fitness.

Friday sessions

From October to March the club sets aside certain Fridays for open climbing from 17:00 to 21:00 (from 19:00 when its children's group has the wall), as listed in its term plan. Club members climb free, and non-members pay Gullbring's standard drop-in price. The sessions are at your own risk, with no one from the club in charge.

Belaying and equipment

For now, everyone using the wall must hold a Brattkort, and members show their Brattkort and membership card at reception when they arrive. Bring your own harness, belay device and rope. The club runs indoor basic courses at Gullbring (in spring 2026 over a weekend in March) and children's and youth climbing for ages 7 to 17 on Friday afternoons.
