Sakarya, Turkey
This climbing hall is part of the Erenler Gençlik Merkezi, a Ministry of Youth and Sports youth centre on 1113. Sokak in Erenler, one of Sakarya's central districts. Erenler Belediyesi built the complex as the Erenler Yaşam Merkezi, a leisure centre with a semi-Olympic pool, a climbing wall, a synthetic ice rink, squash courts, a sauna, a hammam and a fitness hall, which opened in 2019. Under a 2021 protocol with Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and Erenler Belediyesi, the provincial youth and sports directorate took the building over and turned it into a youth centre. Its five-lane pool is still open to the public through the ministry's booking system.
The Turkish Mountaineering Federation (TDF) held a sport-climbing coaches' development seminar here in November 2023 and a five-day assistant coach course in the climbing hall in March 2024. Candidates had to show on the first day that they could lead routes graded at least UIAA 6+.
The climbing hall isn't run as a public climbing gym, and no climbing hours or prices are published. The federation's courses here have been for coaches and coach candidates, who apply through the ministry's sports information system, so contact the youth centre, which posts its programme on Instagram, or a Sakarya mountaineering club about climbing here.
