Aydın, Turkey
Efeler Belediyesi built this Olympic-standard climbing wall in Pınarbaşı Mesire Alanı, the municipal recreation area in Efeler, and the Turkish Mountaineering Federation's wall inspectors approved it at the end of August 2021. It stands in the open air and has two 15 m walls: a lead wall 10 m wide and a speed wall, which the federation's inspector described as the first outdoor speed wall built in Turkey. When it opened, the municipality said anyone over the age of four could use it, and that it would also train licensed competition climbers.
The municipality's search and rescue team also uses the site for rope-work training.
The municipality doesn't publish opening hours or prices. Google Maps lists the wall as open from 10:00 to 20:00 on Wednesdays, so call ahead to check the times for other days.
