Dynomite Albion Park is the second gym of Dynomite, the Illawarra bouldering business that started in Wollongong. It opened in early 2024 in a large warehouse unit on the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail, entered from Hargraves Avenue, with more than 20 parking spaces on site. Albion Park station and several bus routes from Wollongong stop within walking distance.
Most of the hall is bouldering on walls and freestanding boulders, with problems marked by colour-coded holds and start and finish tags, from easy to hard. The setters reset the walls every Thursday, and staff give first-timers a short safety induction. No booking is needed for a day pass.
Albion Park is the Dynomite gym for the youngest climbers: children under six may climb here, but not at North Wollongong, with one adult supervising each. A function area hosts birthday parties and group bookings, the counter serves coffee from a South Coast roaster and sells shoes, chalk and training gear, and most memberships cover both Dynomite gyms.
