Ankara, Turkey
This outdoor sport-climbing wall stands in the third stage of Dikmen Vadisi, the long landscaped valley park in Çankaya. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality built it with the General Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Turkish Mountaineering Federation (TDF), and it opened in April 2010 with a round of the Turkish Championship. The wall is 14 m high and 35 m wide, was built to the international federation's technical standards, and was handed to the TDF to run and maintain.
Climbers use ropes from fixed anchors at the top of the wall, which has a metal roof along its top edge. The federation renovated the wall in spring 2025, the municipality used it for climbing taster sessions during Public Health Week in 2023, and clubs such as Ankyra Doğa Sporları hold regular training sessions here.
The wall isn't open to casual visitors. TDF sport-climbing lessons and training programmes take priority, and at other times only climbers with a current mountaineering licence may use it, supervised by a sport-climbing or mountaineering coach. Officials can check licences and turn away anyone without one, so join a local club to climb here.
