Buldrehallen is an independent bouldering centre at Lerstadveien 506B in Ålesund, run by Crimp Group AS. It has 750 m² of bouldering with about 120 problems for all levels, changed frequently, plus a room set aside for younger children and easier problems throughout the centre.
As it is bouldering only, you don't need a belay certificate, but everyone signs a liability form before climbing. Two-hour introductory courses run regularly, there is a progression course for climbers at around 6B–6C, and the club Klatreklubben Ålesund runs its children's and youth groups here, combined with rope climbing at its own wall. Children under 13 must be closely supervised by an adult, with no more than two children per adult in the climbing areas, while 13 to 18-year-olds can climb alone once a guardian has signed the form. There is also a weekly bouldering and coffee session for parents on parental leave.
