- New accounts are only for members and guest members of the Österreichischer Alpenverein: register online and upload a photo ID before your first visit (approval can take up to five working days)

- Pay by the hour from prepaid credit (1 point = €1): Monday to Friday €3.30 an hour before 13:00, €4.40 from 13:00 to 17:00, €5.50 from 17:00 to 21:00 and €4.40 after 21:00; €4.40 an hour all day at weekends and on public holidays

- A visit of up to six hours costs at most €8 for non-members and €6 for Alpenverein members

- Alpenverein Wien members (membership numbers starting with 113) climb free on a fair-use basis, up to 50 points a month

- Climbing shoes can be borrowed free of charge
