BlocHaus Leichhardt is a bouldering gym at 12 Upward Street in Leichhardt, in Sydney's inner west. It is the newer of BlocHaus's two Sydney gyms, alongside Marrickville, and the group also runs gyms in Canberra and Port Melbourne. A day pass gets you into both Sydney gyms on the same day, and the All-Haus membership covers every BlocHaus.
The fully air-conditioned gym has 500 square metres of Blocz climbing surface: cream and grey walls with teal volumes, a lit overhang and islands of grey matting. The training corner has 2016 and 2019 MoonBoards and a rig with hangboards, and there is a separate warm-up space. BlocHaus resets three sectors a week across its Sydney gyms, with Leichhardt's new boulders going up on Fridays.
Specialty coffee is served at the counter. The gym is for climbers aged 12 and over, though under-12s can try it with an adult on weekdays until 5.30pm. It is liquid chalk only, takes card payments only, and welcomes dogs on a lead and off the mats. On-site parking is limited to a few spaces, but there is timed street parking and free parking at Leichhardt Marketplace, and Taverners Hill light rail stop is two minutes' walk away.

“Great little gym. Clean tindy, great route setting, fantastic coffee and just big enough that there is always something new to try.”
“Good variety and different from marickville so you get a good fresh set to play with if you go to both. Didn't get to park at the venue because only 3 spots…”
“Great assortment of routes and holds including a designated warmup zone which I love… Can get busy on weekends and evenings as usual but the etiquette here is well-followed.”
