Climbing in Cardiff

Cardiff is the capital city of Wales, a place where ancient castles stand side-by-side with cutting-edge architecture and home to the Cardiff stadium. With a total seating capacity of over 73,000 seats, this stadium is by far the largest in Wales and the second largest (outside of London) in the United Kingdom. Right on its doorstep is Ogmore, a steep overhanging trad climbing area with unstable, strenuous climbs - not for the faint of heart. Those less brazen may wish to check out some of the city's unique bouldering gyms, such as Flashpoint or the colourful facility at Culverhouse Cross.
