Edwards, Colorado, United States
The Edwards Field House on Miller Ranch Road is one of Mountain Recreation's two indoor climbing venues in the Eagle Valley; the district was known as WECMRD until 2018. The building reopened in December 2025 after a $1.2 million renovation, and brand-new climbing walls followed in summer 2026. They offer three distinct climbing areas:
The walls are open to day visitors and members during the building's normal hours. To use the ropes you first need to pass Mountain Recreation's top-rope belay test, and the auto-belays need a free check-off; children aged 8 to 13 can use them only with a parent who has passed it too. Both are run on set evenings, with a $10 belay clinic beforehand for newcomers, and must be booked by 16:00 on the day.
Adult day admission is $13 and an annual Field House membership costs $109, with cheaper youth, senior and family rates. Admission also covers the maplewood courts and the 15,000 sq ft indoor turf field, and the building has a gymnastics centre with a ninja course, an e-sports room and community rooms. Children under 8 must come with a paying guest aged 13 or over. The district also runs afterschool climbing series for children and outdoor climbing courses.
