The sport faculty's wall

Trabzon University's Faculty of Sport Sciences has a climbing wall in its A hall, a multi-sport hall with spectator seating on the faculty's campus in Söğütlü, Akçaabat. The wall runs across three bays between the hall's pillars in green panels, with an overhanging section in the end bay.

The Turkish Mountaineering Federation's Trabzon office held the province's school sport-climbing championship here in February 2019, when 71 pupils from 12 schools competed with belayers and trainee judges, and used the wall for a senior coaches' practical course in June 2021. In May 2025 the federation held a three-day candidate judges' course at the university, with practical wall sessions on the lead and bouldering rules.
