The Peak Climbing Wall is the indoor side of The Peak Climbing School, set on Leekbrook Industrial Estate about five minutes from Leek and close to the Roaches and the rest of the Peak District. It is a bouldering wall with circuits for all levels, set by the school's own climbing instructors, alongside a café serving coffee and cake and a climbing shop.
There is no need to book: climbers can drop in, and there are no registration fees. Shoe hire is available, and bouldering pads can be hired from the shop for days out at the crag. Facilities include parking, toilets and free wifi.
Instructor-led sessions include weekly inductions for climbers aged 14 and over, kids' clubs by age group (Gecko, Gibbon, Academy and a weekend club) and holiday clubs. Outdoor courses, guided trips and mountain skills are run by the climbing school.
The wall hosts in-house competitions such as a summer league and a themed UV party comp, Brit Rock film screenings, and a series of evenings with guest climbers and mountaineers.

“The setting is nice and varied and I didn’t run out of things to want to climb, cafe is well equipped and I would recommend the lemon drizzle.”
“While it's not the biggest climbing wall it's really well thought out and they've really made the most of the space available. The bouldering wall has a good variety of problems for all abilities.”
