The Climbing Hub

Bradford's climbing centre

The Climbing Hub is an independent climbing centre at Beckside Business Park, off Beckside Road in Bradford, behind the Insane Air trampoline park. It combines a large bouldering area, including a free-standing boulder, with 16 roped lines for top roping, lead climbing and auto-belays.

Climbing and training

• Bouldering: colour-graded problems from beginner level up, with a free induction for adults who just turn up.
• Ropes: auto-belay inductions (£20), top-rope sessions and a Learn to Lead course.
• Training: a Moon Board, a training area and a fitness gym upstairs.
• Dry-tooling: the Hub sets dry-tooling routes with dedicated holds and hosts the Northern Drytooling Club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with a coached youth session on Saturdays. Axes and boots can be hired.

Sessions

A free women's social with female instructors runs on Wednesday evenings. Juniors have the Hub Club (ages 7 to 10), Level Up (11 to 17), a development squad and home-education sessions, and the centre hosts birthday parties and corporate events.

Good to know

There is a café with a barista machine and hot food, a climbing shop and a large car park. Under-18s must be supervised unless they have passed the 14-17 assessment, and one adult can supervise two climbers aged 7 to 17 or one under 7.
