The climbing hall in Stjørdalshallen, Stjørdal municipality's sports hall on Gymnasgata, has roped walls and a bouldering room. The municipality takes the bookings and sets the prices, while Stjørdal Klatreklubb, which had 190 members at the end of 2025, sets the routes and boulders and runs groups for children and young people.
The club's volunteer route-setters keep the roped walls and the bouldering cave supplied with new routes and problems, including steep problems on the cave's roof, and added a set of bigger holds in 2025. By tradition, the club holds a Christmas bouldering competition for its members in December.
Every visit is booked, online through BookUp or by email to the municipality's sports office, within the hall's opening hours: 16:00–22:00 on weekdays and 08:00–22:00 at weekends. In 2026 an hour costs NOK 98 for adults and NOK 61 for under-18s, or NOK 86 and NOK 50 for the bouldering room alone. Visitors from outside Stjørdal municipality pay higher rates.
Stjørdal Klatreklubb runs children's climbing for ages 8–13 on Thursdays 17:30–19:00 and a training group for 13–18-year-olds on Mondays 18:00–20:00 (NOK 950 a term). It also holds occasional Brattkort courses, Norway's belay certificate, for ages 13 and up, and its members get a cheaper annual card for the hall.
As we last found them. Prices change, so check the wall's website before you go.
