Sandbox Bouldering is a training-focused bouldering gym in an industrial unit on Fariola Street, Silverwater, in Sydney's west. Rather than big walls of set problems, the climbing here is on system boards, whose LED-lit holds call up climbs from each board's app library, and on spray walls where you set your own problems or follow curated sets in the Stōkt app. A strength area and a coworking lounge share the space, and the gym marked its anniversary with a competition in June 2026.
Create a profile and sign the waiver online, then make your first visit during staffed hours for a tour and safety briefing; no booking is needed. A first visit buys two weeks of access, and a third visit in any week is free on standard day passes. Coaching runs from a cheap Wednesday evening Introduction to Boards class to six-week Training Cohorts, private coaching and assessments, the Rocks & Roses women's group, youth training for 12 to 17-year-olds and a strength and conditioning programme. A climbing physio from Move Clinic also sees clients at the gym on Thursday afternoons.
