Albury, New South Wales, Australia
Rise Climbing is a family-run bouldering gym on Bennu Circuit in Thurgoona, on Albury's north-eastern edge. It opened in late 2025 to give Albury–Wodonga a climbing hub of its own, and marks its first birthday with a team competition in November 2026. The plywood walls reach 4.5 m over padded matting, problems follow a single colour of holds, and staff walk newcomers through the grading system before they start.
A one-hour Beginner Climbing Class runs on Thursday evenings, Rise Rookies sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and weekend mornings, and a yoga and mobility class runs on the last Wednesday of the month. Monday evening is student night, with discounted entry and free shoe hire, and Wednesday evenings are themed social nights, with free pizza on the first Wednesday of the month. Schools, sports clubs, corporate teams and birthday parties can book sessions in or outside opening hours.
