Rælingen, Akershus, Norway
Rælingen Klatreklubb was founded in 2007, when the multi-purpose Marikollhallen at Fjerdingby opened, and the hall's climbing wall is its home. The non-profit club is a member of the Norwegian Climbing Federation and has climbing for children and adults of all ages; its members also climb outdoors, often moving outside in the summer half of the year.
The club's latest published timetable, for spring 2026, has climbing on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 17:30 to 20:30:
The autumn 2026 groups started on 18 August, and the club says times may change with the number of sign-ups. Sessions follow the school calendar, with no climbing in school holidays. Members with a top-rope card or Brattkort can also climb on their own, without an instructor, except when a match is on in the hall.
Parents of children in the groups, and everyone in the youth and adult groups, need at least a top-rope card (topptaukort) or a Brattkort, the Norwegian belay certificate. The club runs belay courses regularly, and young people can take the top-rope card during their training. Shoes, harnesses, ropes and belay devices can be borrowed.
As we last found them. Prices change, so check the wall's website before you go.
- Drop-in for club members: NOK 50
- Members' own climbing without an instructor (top-rope card or Brattkort needed): NOK 50 a time
- Paid by Vipps
- Shoes, harnesses, ropes and belay devices can be borrowed
