Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway
Playground is an indoor activity park in the Tvedtsenteret at Forus, which opened in 2024 and puts 3,500 m² of climbing, skating, scooting, trampolines and a net park under one roof. Climbing is a big part of it: a bouldering zone at low height, rope climbing with 20 auto-belay stations, and a 21 m LED wall that Playground calls the region's tallest, with routes up to grade 6. There's a Kilter Board with a monthly KilterLeague of 30 problems, and on Saturdays a guided via ferrata runs high under the roof (booked separately).
One drop-in ticket covers every activity for as long as you like during opening hours, with no booking, and the gym is included from age 15. Climbing shoes are compulsory for everyone and, like harnesses, can be hired at reception. Children under 13 need an adult (18+) with them in the hall to fit their harness and clip them into the auto-belays; from 13, young people can come on their own. Instructors are on the floor all day.
Playground says you need a Brattkort only for lead climbing, not for bouldering, auto-belays or top-rope. Its Brattkort course runs over a weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00–16:00) for ages 13 and up, from NOK 1,599 plus the Norwegian Climbing Federation's NOK 400 fee. There's a café with coffee from Stavanger Kaffebrenneri, a Mini-Playground for the youngest on weekdays from 10:00 to 15:00, birthday packages and free parking outside the centre.

“From great climbing walls, to skate pist to all levels, Trampoline park, gym, showers and clean toilets! The staff is also super friendly and helpful!”
“Laid back atmosphere and a lot of value for the admissions ticket, whether for climbing, skating, or trampolines.”
“The place is VERY loud as there's an indoor skate park right next to the climbing area, with no separation whatsoever. … Boulders are better set with more variety.”
