The Indoor Tennis Centre and Ozone Complex on Ormeau Embankment, run by Better for Belfast City Council, has an indoor climbing wall alongside its tennis courts, gym and 3G pitch. The wall has top-rope belay sections and a bouldering area, and it is a short walk from Lanyon Place station.
The wall is unsupervised and is meant for experienced climbers who can tie in and belay. Top ropes are left in place and harnesses are lent free at reception; bring your own shoes and any other kit. Newcomers can book the centre's climbing lessons first. Sessions are booked through the Better website or app.
Indoor tennis courts, a gym with cardio machines and weights, an outdoor gym, group exercise classes, a laser tag room, a multi-purpose room and a bookable 3G pitch. The Belfast Climbing Club holds its Tuesday evening roped sessions here.
As we last found them. Prices change, so check the wall's website before you go.
- Better member pay and play: £6.35
- Concession pay and play: £3.00
- Full members: one free booking a day
- Harness loan: free
