Bouldering in Peckham

MURO is an independent, community-run bouldering gym in a railway arch on Brayards Road, next to Copeland Park and a few minutes' walk from Peckham Rye station. It opened in early 2025 and is built around high-density set boulders and a big spray wall, in a small, sociable space.

The walls

• A full competition-height bouldering wall with densely set problems
• A 15-metre-wide spray wall at several angles, covered in thousands of holds, with problems logged on the Stōkt app
• An outdoor boulder in the planted garden, used for climbing and summer events

Training and facilities

A stretching and training mezzanine has fingerboards, a bar, bench and rack. There is a coffee shop and bar, a workspace, lockers (bring a padlock) and shoe and chalk hire.

Getting started

Fill in the online registration form before your first visit. Adults new to climbing can book an Intro to Bouldering session and then a three-week Bouldering Fundamentals course. Climbers aged 4 and up are welcome, with under-16s supervised one-to-one by a parent or guardian, and term-time NICAS clubs run for ages 4 to 16. Concession prices cover students, teachers, Blue Light workers and people on low-income support. MURO also hosts parties, launches and garden events through the year.
