Plymouth, England, United Kingdom
The Mount Batten Outdoor Climbing Wall is a former quarry face on the Mount Batten peninsula that has been adapted for climbing, with views across Plymouth Sound. It is owned by Plymouth City Council, and climbers must be supervised, so it is used by groups with an inducted leader or at organised sessions rather than as a drop-in wall.
The wall's website describes summer sessions on Tuesday evenings from 18:30 until dusk, weather allowing, at £4 a session with kit to hire, and says the wall can also be hired for events. It does not give current dates, so check before you go.
There is a free car park opposite the wall, the Mount Batten Pier bus stop is directly in front of it, and a ferry runs from the Barbican to Mount Batten.
