L'Éléphant opened in 2018 in a 900 m² former industrial warehouse in Grivegnée, as Liège's first bouldering hall. It has about 700 m² of climbing on walls of varied angles and shapes, with eight permanent colour circuits running from beginner to expert, and the setting team puts up new problems every week. There's also a dedicated training area and a bar with a relaxed atmosphere.
L'Éléphant belongs to the same group as Top Rock, a rope-climbing hall a few hundred metres away, and Isatis, a newer bouldering hall 100 metres along the same avenue. A single entry or a 10-entry card can be used at whichever of the three you choose, and memberships cover all three.
The hall runs weekly classes for young people aged 6 to 17 through the school year, holiday courses for children and private lessons for all levels, and it welcomes schools and after-school groups. In term time it doesn't open to the public until 17:00 on Wednesdays. L'Éléphant has its own competition team and holds bouldering competitions, including one in December 2025. Children's birthday parties, from the age of 7, are held at weekends.
