Le Crux Laval is the bouldering gym of Le Crux, the climbing company whose head gym is in Boisbriand. It opened in July 2020 inside the Galeries Laval shopping centre on boulevard Saint-Martin Ouest, a short walk from Montmorency metro station, with a large car park and bus links. The 17,000 sq ft unit holds about 10,000 sq ft of bouldering terrain for beginners and experts alike, on walls up to 16 ft high above thick matting.
Training is a big part of the gym's focus. Tilting Kilter and Tension boards offer an endless supply of problems, and a warm-up and training area has its own equipment. The bistro serves coffee, snacks and drinks, and the shop stocks what you need for bouldering. No booking is needed, and memberships also cover the Boisbriand gym, which adds roped climbing, auto-belays and a speed route.
