Krux Klatring is the climbing centre in the Krux innovation centre (Krux Innovasjonssenter) in the middle of Oppdal. It is owned and run by Oppdal Klatre- og Fjellsportklubb and bills its wall as the tallest indoor climbing wall in Norway: the rope walls range from 11 to 25 metres high.
Drop-in tickets are bought online, and the code for the front door arrives by text message within five minutes; members collect a key card from reception and can come and go freely. Shoe and harness hire is included in the drop-in price.
Belaying needs a Brattkort, the Norwegian belay certificate, and the auto-belays may only be used with a Brattkort or after an introduction, so visitors without one should come during staffed hours. Children under 13 must be supervised by an adult. The centre shares its reception and changing rooms with the Krux Trening gym in the same building.
