Turnhout, Antwerp, Belgium
Klimtower is the climbing hall of Klim.T, a volunteer-run climbing club in Turnhout that used to be called Technico. Since September 2026 the club has climbed in a glass climbing hall, 15 metres tall, at the new Sportcampus Stadspark on Steenweg op Tielen. The city opened the campus at the end of August 2026 beside a secondary school, with two sports halls, a dojo and a cafeteria. Before the move, the club climbed on a wall in the old Stadspark sports hall.
The hall has top-rope, lead and speed routes on tall walls with ropes hung in place.
The club opens the hall four evenings a week and on about two Sunday afternoons a month. You don't need to book or join: visitors pay for the evening, and members pay a yearly fee. A volunteer is in charge of every session, and newcomers report to them first; they explain how things work. If you come without a partner, other club members will climb with you. Children shouldn't come on their own, but a parent can belay them after a short briefing. For those who want to carry on, the club recommends a course for the KBF's indoor top-rope certificate. Harnesses, belay devices and climbing shoes are available at the wall.
The club aims to keep climbing affordable for everyone, especially people who live in and around Turnhout.
As we last found them. Prices change, so check the wall's website before you go.
