Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
Gecko Climb is a family-owned climbing centre at 2 Snell Street in Woolner, a few minutes from Darwin's city centre. It opened on 1 August 2025 in a former furniture store, now an air-conditioned 1,277 m² building with walls and flooring by Climb ICP.
The café serves espresso, toasties and snacks, and there's a chill-out space, a family zone, a function room with a kitchenette and AV equipment, and an on-site physiotherapist from Top End Health Project. Shoes and harnesses can be hired, the gym uses liquid chalk only, and supervised dogs are welcome on a lead, away from the mats and the café.
Children can climb on the ropes from age 3 and boulder from age 6, under adult supervision. The gym runs yoga, Pilates and Bouldercise classes, the Gecko Squad for young climbers, school holiday programmes and a Women's Climbing Night every Friday, and puts on film screenings and the Scale It bouldering competition series.

“Amazing place what we need for Darwin. Friendly staff who strongly support my little girl and boy for their first ever climb. Price can be a bit pricey but understandable.”
“…The walls had a great variety of climbs, from easy routes for warm-ups to more challenging ones that really tested my strength.”
