Førde, Vestland, Norway
Førde Klatresenter is the town's climbing centre, on Vievegen, with bouldering and roped climbing for every level. It's open every day, and everyone signs a liability waiver before their first visit (parents sign for under-18s).
To climb on a rope you need a Brattkort or an equivalent belay card, or a belayer over 18 who has one, and only card holders may belay. Auto-belays need a Brattkort or a briefing from staff. The centre runs two-day Brattkort courses (NOK 1,600, minimum age 13), refresher courses, two-hour introductions to bouldering and children's and youth groups, plus women's bouldering and yoga on Wednesday evenings and bouldering for parents on leave on Monday mornings.
The café serves coffee from Sognefjord Kaffibrenneri, fresh baking and Neapolitan pizza, and the shop stocks shoes, clothing, chalk and other climbing gear. Annual cards, monthly memberships and 10-visit cards also work at Bergen Klatresenter's two Bergen centres and Buldreterminalen in Tromsø.

“Indoor climbing for the whole family. Here you can also buy climbing equipment, clothing or just enjoy a homemade cinnamon bun with fresh coffee.”
