About

Climbing with Fet IL

Fet Idrettslag, the multi-sport club in Fetsund, runs a climbing group in its indoor climbing hall on Kirkeveien. The group has training groups for children from the first school year, for young people up to 18 and for adults, plus a women's group for adults who want to build their confidence on the wall and find climbing partners.

Roped climbing here needs a Brattkort top-rope card: drop-in climbers need one to belay, parents who belay their own children in the younger groups must hold one, and the club runs courses for parents and young people who don't have one yet. Young people in the youth groups learn to belay each other.

Drop-in sessions

The hall is open for drop-in climbing on Tuesday evenings from 20:00 to 22:00 for adults, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00, when everyone is welcome. A session costs NOK 100 for adults, NOK 70 for children and NOK 200 for a family, or NOK 70, NOK 40 and NOK 140 for members of Fet IL.

The club's groups use the hall on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and on Sunday evenings. Places in the groups are booked each term through the club's website, and some groups fill up, so email the climbing group if you're interested.
