Rutherglen, Scotland, United Kingdom
The Cuningar Loop boulders sit in a woodland park on a loop of the River Clyde in Rutherglen, on the south-east edge of Glasgow. Forestry and Land Scotland runs the park, which also has riverside boardwalks, forest trails, a meadow and a bike skills area.
The boulders are artificial, sculpted from concrete, and were designed as a stepping stone for climbers moving from indoor walls to outdoor rock while still giving stronger climbers something to work on.
It is free to use and open to everyone. Some top-outs are tricky on the harder problems and getting down can be awkward, so check the descent before you climb up, and bring a pad if you have one. The concrete is rough on fingertips. There is a car park at the park and on-street parking nearby.
