The climbing wall is inside the Cold Lake Energy Centre, the City of Cold Lake's recreation centre on 51 Street, halfway between Cold Lake North and Cold Lake South. The four-storey, multi-faced wall has five auto-belays and seven top-rope systems, with 57 routes graded from 5.7 to 5.12b, so it suits beginners through to advanced climbers. Some of the staff hold Climbing Gym Instructor Level 1 certification and can help newcomers.
The wall can be booked for birthday parties and other events, with an hour of climbing and two hours in the party area. In the summer holidays the centre runs Rock Wall Camps for ages 7 to 12, covering bouldering, high-wall climbing and rappelling.
